Google Pixel 2 XL Panda: Price In India and Full Phone Specifications

Google Pixel 2 XL Panda

As of December 16, 2022, the cheapest price for a Google Pixel 2 XL panda is Rs. 19,990.

The “Panda”-colored Pixel 2 XL is the most eye-catching model in the Pixel line. Compared to other Google efforts to increase device awareness, this one really stands out. Actually, the Google Pixel 2 XL is the only Android phone available in black and white.

The Pixel 4’s black-and-white model doesn’t capture the same charming appeal as the Pixel 4, although the orange power button helps. Google will probably keep putting these fun touches on future Pixel devices because they make them stand out and are a good way to sell them.

Oddly, the Pixel 5 would effectively revert to the metal chassis with a plastic covering seen on the Pixel 2 XL Panda. Despite the best efforts of textured glass manufacturers, metal still has a unique feel unmatched by other materials.

When it comes to design, Google has hit a home run, creating a style that has stood the test of time and won over the hearts of millions. The next Pixel 6 seems like it could bring some elements from the Nexus series and a healthy dose of the Pixel 2 XL Panda. So, the Pixel 2 XL may be the “best” Pixel in design and looks.

Display

Let’s speak about the display problems since the Google Pixel 2 XL still has a visible blue shift when held at an angle. But this problem still happens a lot; even a small change in how the device is held can make everything on the screen look blue.

Software patches have mitigated the issue, but it still detracts from the aesthetics of a decent AMOLED screen when viewed from the front. There are a lot of bezels (the border between the screen and frame) if we’re talking about the year 2021, yet it doesn’t appear tacky. It also has dual speakers that face the front.

Internals

Google’s Pixel 2 XL debuted with some of the most cutting-edge features available in an Android phone. Because of this, it has lasted far longer than many other cell phones of the same era.

Regarding raw benchmarks, the Google Pixel 2 XL is towards the bottom of the 2021 mid-range smartphone spectrum with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU and 4GB of RAM. Given how quickly the highest speeds are increasing, that’s quite a feat. When you install the best components at the moment, the effects of time will be less severe than they would be otherwise.

One major drawback is the meager 64 GB of built-in storage space. This is also not an extendable system. However, this is only a problem if you capture many images or movies in high definition (4K UHD) or if you are a data hoarder. Sure, you can’t load up on a tonne of apps, but for the vast majority of users, 64 GB is just about perfect.

Camera

Even if the first Pixel camera was excellent, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL is groundbreaking. We are aware that problems with cameras have been widespread in recent years, with shutdowns, lockups, and more commonly, affecting older models. Google thinks that some of the problems are caused by hardware problems rather than software bugs, so it’s possible that upgrades won’t even fix the remaining problems.

Post-launch updates to the camera, such as the outstanding Night Sight and improvements to Portrait Mode, put it ahead of the competition among low-cost Android handsets, allowing it to compete with devices with sensors and focal lengths that are much more advanced.

Combining expertise and software

The most noticeable change is the increased speed with which Android 11’s apps and other content load. Total integration of the Snapdragon 835 and its accompanying 4GB of RAM means that, while the Pixel 5’s UFS 2.1 storage and Snapdragon 765G both have the same memory bandwidth, the Pixel 5’s 8GB of RAM means that it can run more applications simultaneously. This does detract from the overall impression. The frequency of app crashes has increased; however, this has not negatively affected typical performance.

Battery

The lack of wireless charging is a major inconvenience, but only because we have so many different charging stations set up throughout our neighbourhoods. There are good reasons to worry about how wireless charging will affect the quality of the device, and the Pixel 5’s metal build was only made possible by clever engineering.

The battery life of your Pixel 2 XL can be improved by turning off the always-on display and the Google Assistant’s always-on listening mode. Regarding power efficiency, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 has been surpassed by several mid-range CPUs; add in the effects of natural battery deterioration, and you could be in for a rough time.

They get around 4 hours of screen time out of the 3,520 mAh, which is more than enough to get us through the day. Although not particularly impressive, it is more than enough to ensure that you won’t lose track of the 18W charging brick and wire before the day is out. If you’re streaming videos, you can cut that time down to about three hours. It makes sense for a four-year-old gadget.

The fact that this is not a simple procedure that can take a couple of hours or more if you are a novice is cause for concern. If you don’t want to risk bricking your device, we recommend getting a new battery from uBreakiFix that has been officially certified.

Conclusion

Though the first Pixel and Pixel XL were steps in the right direction, the release of the Pixel 2 and, more especially, the Pixel 2 XL Panda, propelled the Mountain View company into the line of sight of every Android customer.

Of course, hindsight is always 20/20, and Google suffers from a new set of catastrophic defects in its hardware every year. The bugs shouldn’t be overlooked, but when everything runs smoothly, you forget about them and enjoy one of the greatest Android phones ever made. Compared to other gadgets of the same age, it has held up very well in most regards.
